What’s included

The day trip rate includes entry to the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway, and the services of a trained guide.

The overnight rate includes entry to the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway, the services of a trained guide, accommodation, and 3 meals.

What’s not included

All visitors spending the night in the Iwokrama Forest must pay the Iwokrama Forest User Fee. This fee is not included in the per-person rates shown here. The fee is paid one time only, regardless of the number of nights spent in the Iwokrama Forest.

The cost of alcoholic beverages is not included in the meal prices quoted here. Your bar beverages must be paid for in cash on site at the Atta Rainforest Lodge.

Advance booking requirement

Meals are available to day visitors, but due to the remoteness of the location advance booking is strongly recommended. We may not be able to accommodate groups and special dietary requirements without advance notice.

Guides and drivers

Guides leading parties of four or more persons receive accommodation at no charge. A 2nd guide may be accommodated at a 50% discounted rate. The Lodge manager may adjust the arrangement depending on group size and other factors. Please email us in advance to discuss your group’s needs.

Special rates for local communities

Residents of Region 8 and 9 may obtain a free pass to the Canopy Walkway from the NRDDB. These passes are not issued on-site at the Canopy Walkway.

Special rates for researchers and schools

We do our best to make special accommodation for educational and research-based visits to the Walkway. Researchers qualify for the discounted group rate. School groups should contact our office to enquire about opportunities for discounted group visits to the Walkway.

Payments

We accept payment at our Georgetown office for all services, visits, and stays at Atta Rain Forest Lodge. You may pay with cash or credit card, however credit card payments will incur a 4.2% surcharge to cover bank fees. We are able to accept cash payments at the lodge, however there are no facilities to accept credit card payments at the lodge.

Instruct your bank that all bank charges are for remitters account. This ensures the correct amount reaches us. If the amount received does not match the amount due, you will be invoiced for the difference.

If you use a bank-to-bank wire transfer, please add $15 to your payment to cover transaction charges.

Cancellations

Any cancellation by client or Agent must be in writing and acknowledged by Community & Tourism Services. The date on which the correspondence is received will determine the loss of any monies applicable.

  • Cancelled 90 or more days prior to arrival – Full Refund
  • Cancelled 60 to 90 days prior to arrival – 5 % cancellation fee
  • Cancelled 30-60 days prior to arrival – 20% cancellation fee
  • Cancelled 2-30 days prior to arrival – 50% cancellation fee
  • Cancelled 2 days prior to arrival or no show – 100% cancellation fee
